Anxiety- Black Eyed Peas feat. Papa Roach

a mail from NP:

Dear students,

You may know by now that Blogging is a very popular internet past time and may have
your own personal Blog site or participated in some.

Whatever your blogging experience, here are some very important info to protect you.

Recently 2 bloggers were charged under the Sedition Act for posting insulting and reckless racial comments on the internet. One of the blogger was jailed for a month while another was given a one-day jail term and a maximum fine of $5,000. (ST, Oct 8).

In another case of 5 junior college students punished for criticising 2 teachers and a vice-principal on the Net. These students were suspended for 3 days and their parents were also informed. (ST, Sep 27)

While you Blog, please stay on the right side of the Law and stay sensitive to other people around you. Do not blog on things that promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore (Section 4 of the Sedition Act).

Students should use the blog appropriately and not to misuse it to arouse social disorder or 'flame' a person online. In a multi-racial society like in Singapore, every citizen or resident should respect other races and religions. As all Bloggers are personally responsible for what they blog, please be careful.

i sorta cited, just in case.
i think it's so sad la. freedom of speech is meant only for anonymous grafitti and knowing whispers. but i suppose everybody's got a different level of tolerance; some have it so low that they sue.

yesterday was truly a movie marathon at val's. i love lords of dogtown! and of course Fight Club; only nat and i had watched it already. it was still good. i finally caught the flash of penis at the end. we watched Mysterious Skin too. gawd it was a sick film, though i have to admit it's not a bad one. i hope joseph gordon-levitt isn't really gay. :(
we spent the night in val's house, and i tell you my 'quit-drinking' plan is never gonna work. i need to muster up more determination before the belly pouch expands till i can't look down and see my toes.

oh, and i caught 40-Year-Old Virgin! goodness it was a darn good movie! totally worth my 7 bucks. :D daph and i went in the afternoon to avoid being ID-checked. it was so so so so good. i'm awe-inspired. i will be a 40-year-old virgin too. it won't be pointless if one is truly waiting for that one person to give it to. even if i only lose it at 60.

i did some window shopping after the movie. i hope my pay is enough to cover all that i want to buy. it's a tad too much, but it's okay. i'll figure something out. the ipod nano is a goner though. however, on the bright side, i heard that Apple's gonna come up with an ipod-cell phone or something, so we'll see.

btw, malcolm's back! ahahaha. but poor roy has to wait it out till next year. sigh. if only everyone can come back at the same time.
